Quadratic Programming for Multi-Target Tracking
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider the problem of tracking multiple, partially observed targets using multiple sensors arranged in a given configuration. We model the problem as a special case of a (finite horizon) DECPOMDP. We present a quadratic program whose globally optimal solution yields an optimal tracking joint policy, one that maximizes the expected targets detected over the given horizon. However, a globally optimal solution to the QP cannot always be found since the QP is nonconvex. To remedy this, we present two linearizations of the QP to equivalent 0-1 mixed integer linear programs (MIPs) whose optimal solutions, which may be always found through the branch and bound method, for example, yield optimal joint policies. Computational experience on different sensor configurations shows that finding an optimal joint policy by solving the proposed MIPs is much faster than using existing algorithms for the problem.

FGP approach to multi objective quadratic fractional programming problem
Multi objective quadratic fractional programming (MOQFP) problem involves optimization of several objective functions in the form of a ratio of numerator and denominator functions which involve both contains linear and quadratic forms with the assumption that the set of feasible solutions is a convex polyhedral with a nite number of extreme points and the denominator part of each of the objecti...
متن کاملLearning Optimal Parameters For Multi-target Tracking
Multi-target tracking problems are traditionally tackled in two different ways. One way is to first group detections into candidate tracklets and then perform scoring and association of these tracklets [5, 6], this can be done in either an online/streaming fashion or an offline/batch fashion and it allows tracklets to be scored with richer trajectory and appearance models. Another approach is t...
متن کاملLearning Multi-target Tracking with Quadratic Object Interactions
We describe a model for multi-target tracking based on associating collections of candidate detections across frames of a video. In order to model pairwise interactions between different tracks, such as suppression of overlapping tracks and contextual cues about co-occurence of different objects, we augment a standard min-cost flow objective with quadratic terms between detection variables. We ...
متن کاملDecentralized and Cooperative Multi-Sensor Multi-Target Tracking With Asynchronous Bearing Measurements
Bearings only tracking is a challenging issue with many applications in military and commercial areas. In distributed multi-sensor multi-target bearings only tracking, sensors are far from each other, but are exchanging data using telecommunication equipment. In addition to the general benefits of distributed systems, this tracking system has another important advantage: if the sensors are suff...
متن کاملTarget Tracking Based on Virtual Grid in Wireless Sensor Networks
One of the most important and typical application of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is target tracking. Although target tracking, can provide benefits for large-scale WSNs and organize them into clusters but tracking a moving target in cluster-based WSNs suffers a boundary problem. The main goal of this paper was to introduce an efficient and novel mobility management protocol namely Target Tr...
